In 2017, Alison Lester and I travelled to Rawa Community on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert in Western Australia. We worked with the kids there and they wrote a story about monsters who live on Dora Lake, which is a huge salt lake beside their community. We helped them to turn it into a book and we all made stencils together for the illustrations. Then Magabala Books in Broome published it!
